The City Engineer is responsible for the following tasks:

• Construction inspection of roads, water line and sanitary sewer
• Surveying
• Building permit inspection (Buidling Permit Application buildingpermitapp.pdf)
• Nuisance enforcement
• Hiring seasonal employees
• Zoning administrator (Zoning Ordinance ORD570+zoning.pdf  Zoning Map zoningmap.pdf )
• Oversees the water, wastewater, street and parks departments and the swimming pool
• Administrator of the Planning and Zoning Board and the Chamberlain Housing Authority Board
